Mechanized Fluff-ball of Terror

Despite the prolonged radio silence, I am still around and continuing to draw and create. As proof, here is the MecHamster carving a swath of destruction through some hapless city:

terrifying, yet adorable

In other news, after a prolonged stint as a goblin rookery, the Studio is finally almost organized. Just need to clear out the last nest of the buggers.
I'm trying to get them to move into the attic or the basement.

Grisaille

Muse helping me experiment with an idea to reproduce some techniques that I have done with the Copic gray-scale markers (warm, cool and neutral).

It's been a while since I've drawn some of my old characters (Muse, Rayne, Obadiah, as well as some from several of my first sketchbooks) so plan to see them here in the next couple of posts.

Linum usitatissimum

Here's one of the paintings that I was talking about last post. I'll have to set up a better rig at some point for better pictures.

[update]

Hey all, been busy with some oil paintings, crocheting a half-dozen projects at once or so, and fighting off a nasty cold that hit me last weekend. Will be posting up pictures for your ocular feasting in the next few days.

There and Back Again

As some of you know, I was away for a week for a brief sojourn to my alma mater.

Was nice to see some of my class mates again and to meet some new members of the club I had helped start up my junior year.

The trip to campus was pleasantly uneventful.

The trip back is another story.

Good news is that I was parked in a rest stop when my SUV decided to not start, and once I was towed to a garage (thank you AAA) I was back on the road in about two hours. Bad news, needed a bunch of new parts and I don't think I'm going to be able to head down the coastline again for a while.

Will have a new pic of some kind up tomorrow, perhaps of the scarf I'm working on.
